Who We Are
The Will County Governmental League (WCGL) serves a collaborative council of government representing municipalities throughout Will County, working together to strengthen local governance and regional cooperation. The organization is guided by a President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and a Board of Directors, with each member municipality's Mayor and Manager serving as voting delegates. Additionally, Mayors, Managers, Trustees, and key municipal staff actively participate in WCGL's committees, ensuring that diverse perspectives and expertise shape the League's initiatives.
Through regional collaboration, WCGL advocates for sound public policy, promotes efficient and effective service delivery, and creates opportunities for professional networking and shared learning among its members. From legislative initiatives in Springfield and Washington D.C. to regional planning and infrastructure coordination, WCGL serves as a unified voice for Will County's municipalities, helping local governments deliver the highest quality of life to their residents.
Our goal at WCGL is to assist our municipalities in maintaining and improving services, assisting with important legislation, transportation, public works, and intergovernmental relations. This is possible through our Member Municipalities, Corporate Partners and Supporting Members. We provide opportunities for all members to come together with community and business leaders to build and enhance relationships.
